provides

access to the eject mechanism to remove a CD

from

the

drive.

Front view of the drive

1Headphone jack

This jack provides audio output to the headphones.

2Volume control

This dial controls the headphone volume.

3Busy indicator

This light comes on when the drive reads from, writes to, or plays a CD.

4CD tray

This tray is where you load and unload a CD.

This button opens and closes the CD tray when you push it.

Rear view of the drive

2Audio-out connector

This port connects the analog audio signals to a sound adapter.

3Configuration pins

These pins are used to set the drive configuration.

4IDE connector

This port connects the CD-ReWritable drive to the IDE cable.

5DC-power connector

This port connects the dc-power cord to the CD-ReWritable drive.
