This chapter presents the individual hardware components and describes the basics of operating your notebook.

Upon delivery, the battery can be found in the battery compartment and is not charged. Before putting the notebook into operation, the battery must be completely charged.

The operating system Windows°XP and drivers required are preinstalled. Before you can use your notebook for the first time you need to install the supplied software.

Unpacking and checking your notebook

Unpack all the individual parts.

Check your notebook for damage incurred during transportation.

Should you discover damages incurred during transportation, notify your local sales outlet immediately!

Do not discard the original packing material of the devices. You may need the packaging in the future if you need to transport your device.
