This is a Class A Device and is registered for EMC requirements for industrial use. The seller or buyer should be aware of this. If this type was sold or purchased by mistake, it should be replaced with a residential-use type.

Cisco IP/VC product documents. Before working on equipment, be aware of the hazards involved with electrical circuitry and standard safety practices to prevent accidents.

Telecom Approvals Listing

The Cisco IP/VC 3521 BRI Gateway and Cisco IP/VC 3540 PRI Gateway products meet the requirements listed in this section for telecommunications equipment.

FCC Part 68 Notice

The Cisco IP/VC 3521 BRI Gateway and Cisco IP/VC 3540 PRI Gateways comply with Part 68 of the FCC rules. See Table 2 for FCC Part 68 approval details for the equipment. On the bottom of this equipment is a label that contains, among other information, the FCC registration number. If requested, this information must be provided to the telephone company.

An FCC-compliant telephone cord and modular plug is provided with this equipment, designed to be connected to the telephone network or premise wiring using a compatible modular jack that is Part 68 compliant.

This equipment cannot be used on telephone company provided coin service. Connection to party line service is subject to state tariff.

If this equipment causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company will notify you in advance that temporary discontinuance of service may be required. If advance notice isn’t practical, the telephone company will notify the customer as soon as possible. Also, you will be advised of your right to file a complaint with the FCC if you believe it is necessary.

The telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, operations, or procedures that could affect the operation of the equipment. If that happens, the telephone company will provide advance notice in order for you to make the necessary modifications in order to maintain uninterrupted service.
