Note: You may need to tap the pen tip against the screen initially to turn on the pen. The pen turns off automatically to conserve the pen battery if it is not used for a period of approximately 3 to 5 minutes.

Here are some hints that may help you use the pen more effectively.

•To activate the Tip switch, tap or hold the pen tip against the screen.

•To activate the Barrel button, press the Barrel button and hold the Barrel button in as you tap the pen tip on the screen. (This action corresponds to a right-click operation with a mouse in most programs.)

•To move the cursor, hold the pen tip close to the display screen (within about 3/8 inch or 10 millimeters) and move the pen.

•To start a program, double-tap the pen tip (tap the pen tip twice rapidly) on the program icon as you would double-click a mouse.

•To select an object, tap the pen tip once on the object.

•To drag an object, place the pen tip directly over the object, then press and hold the pen tip against the display screen while you move the pen.
