Overview of the Installation Procedure
Installing your HP nVIDIA GeForce2 MX Graphics Card is a three step process. You need to:
•Remove the existing video driver software (if necessary)
•Install your HP nVIDIA GeForce2 MX graphics card
•Install the new driver software.
It is strongly recommended that you have no video driver installed when you begin installing your new card.
Removing the Existing Video Driver Software
This section describes how to remove the existing driver software on a computer running Windows 98, Windows 2000 or Windows NT
4.0.If you do not have any specific driver software installed (for example you are using the standard VGA driver) you can proceed to “Installing your HP nVIDIA GeForce2 MX Graphics Card” on page 6.
To remove an existing video driver:
1In Windows click on Start ➪ Settings ➪ Control Panel.
2Double click on Add/Remove Programs.
3Click on the Install/Uninstall tab
(Windows 98 & Windows NT 4.0 only).
4In the list of software which appears, select the old driver software and click Add/Remove (Windows 98 & Windows NT 4.0)
For Windows 2000 click on Change/Remove.
5To confirm uninstallation of the driver click OK.
