Insert a LAN card into the Network Pack.
Turn on the GY-DV5000 and KA-DV5000 power.
Check to see that the LAN card display is showing on the LCD screen/viewfinder screen.
Set the MODE switch to “CAM”. (Light the CAM indicator.)

qSet MPEG REC to “SPLIT”.

w Set the video/audio compress in the ENCODE SET menu screen. (page 6) e When completed, press the STATUS button to return to the normal screen.

5.When operating Streamproducer and making network connection with KA-DV5000, sending of streaming video/audio data will start from the LAN card.

When pressing the VTR trigger button on the side of GY-DV5000, recording to the HDD will start.

The LAN card display on the LCD screen/viewfinder screen will be as follows:

e : Red display during data transmission.

*Perform setting described in “5-2 Operating video from DV camcorder • Trigger mode function” of network distribution software “Streamproducer” User’s Guide.

6.To stop recording to the HDD, press the VTR trigger button on the side.

7.Press the VTR trigger button on the side to resume recording to the HDD.

8.To end operation, stop the transmission by disconnecting the network connection with KA-DV5000 using Streamproducer, then turn off the power.

Lastly, remove the LAN card.

1. Insert a LAN card into the Network Pack.

2. Turn on the GY-DV5000 and KA-DV5000 power.

Check to see that the LAN card display is showing on the LCD screen/viewfinder screen.

3. Set the MODE switch to “VTR”. (Light the VTR indicator.)

4. Insert the recorded DV cassette tape.

5. Set the NETWORK PACK CONFIG menu screen.

qSet MPEG REC to “SPLIT”.

wSet the video/audio compression in the ENCODE SET menu screen. (page 6)

eWhen completed with settings, press the STATUS button to return to the normal screen.

6.When operating Streamproducer and making network connection with KA-DV5000, sending of streaming video/audio data will start from the LAN card.

7.Press the PLAY button of GY-DV5000 to start DV cassette tape playback.

8.Press the VTR trigger button on the side at the scene to start HDD recording with Streamproducer.

9.To stop recording to the HDD, press the VTR trigger button on the side.

Memo

When MPEG REC is set to “SPLIT”, sending is performed only when the VTR trigger button on the side is pressed. The VTR trigger buttons on the front and on the lens are disabled.

Recording will not be made on the DV cassette tape even if a tape is inserted.

10.Press the VTR trigger button on the side to resume recording to the HDD.

11.To end operation, first disconnect the network connection and then turn off the power. Lastly, remove the LAN card.
