FINALIZATION

ERASING AN ENTIRE CD-RW DISC

An entire disc erase facility is available for both finalized and unfinalized CD-RW disc.

1Load the CD-RW disc to be erased on the record tray.

2Press ERASE on the front panel or remote control repeatedly until “ALL” is displayed. “ALL” and “ERASE” will begin flashing.

3Within 3 seconds, press PLAY on the record deck. Alternatively, press CD REC and then PLAY on the remote control “ERASE” will stop flashing and remain lit. After the erasure process, “00 00:00” is displayed and “ERASE” goes out.

ERASING INDIVIDUAL TRACKS

One or more individual tracks on a CD-RW disc may be erased at a time, starting with the last track on the disc.

Individual track erase is available only for a non-finalized CD-RW disc. If you want to erase a track in a finalized CD-RW disc, the disc has to be unfinalized first.

1Load the CD-RW disc to be erased on the record tray.

2Press ERASE on the front panel or remote control repeatedly until “01 TRK” is displayed “01 TRK” and “ERASE” will begin flashing.

3Within 3 seconds, press FORWARD SKIP or REVERSE SKIP on the record deck or remote control until the number of tracks to be erased is displayed For example, when “06 TRK” is displayed a total of six tracks will be erased, counting back from the last track on the disc.

4Within 3 seconds, press PLAY on the record deck. Alternatively, press CD REC and then PLAY on the remote control After the erasing process, “ERASE” will go out and the total number of tracks will be displayed.

NOTE

The time it takes to complete the erasing process varies from one disc to another.
