Configure the Gateway

 

 

 

Dataport Configuration

To configure the Data port on the gateway, open ‘Dataport’ as shown in the figure below.

NOTE

WHEN CONNECTING TO A PC

THE CONNECTING CABLE MUST

BE A STRAIGHT THROUGH

RS232 CABLE.

Dataport Configuration is used to configure the RS 232 serial port on the gateway. If you want to connect a PC to the dataport, you must ensure that the PC and the gateway are identically configured.

Configuration

Baudrate

Possible values are: 1200 bps, 2400 bps, 4800 bps, 9600 bps, 19200 bps, 38400 bps 56600 bps and 115200 bps.

Parity

Select ‘None’, ‘Odd’ or ‘Even’.

Databits

Select 7 or 8 databits.

Stopbits

Select 1 or 2 stopbits.

Save

Press ‘Save’ to activate the new settings.

NOTE

THERE ARE NO HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE

HANDSHAKE OPTIONS. MAKE SURE THE

PC HANDSHAKING IS TURNED OFF.
