DynamicBlack

This function improves the level of black and increases the depth and the detail of the image especially in parts with low and medium brightness. DynamicBlack regulates light based on the informative content of the image being projected. Available settings are Off, Video and Movie. Off is recommended when using test pattern for measure- ment or calibration purposes.

PureMotion

Activates the motion estimation/motion compensation function, which suppresses motion judder. Settings available are Off, Low, Medium, or High. Default setting is Low.

Image

This menu section provides access to some advanced image settings. Adjustments not available for a given input are not displayed in the menu. See Table 4.4 for details.

Aspect

This adjustment changes the dimensions and aspect ratio (relationship between width and height) of the displayed image. There are six default aspects available and three user aspects (with user-settable parameters). You can select a different aspect for each source: the selected aspect ratio will be automatically applied the next time the relative source is displayed. You can also select the required aspect ratio from the re- mote control by repeatedly pressing or by pressing and one of the number

1-9. The following aspects are available:

Normal projects the image occupying the full height of the screen while main- taining the aspect ratio of the input signal. When the input signal aspect ratio is 4:3, black vertical bands are displayed on the right and left of the picture.

Anamorphic correctly displays a 16:9 image with over scan.
