4-3 Installation

This section explains how to install (or reinstall) MegaRAID Storage Manager soft- ware on your workstation or server for the supported operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Red Hat Linux, and SUSE Linux. 5.3.1 Installing MegaRAID Storage Manager Software on Microsoft Windows

Follow these steps if you need to install MegaRAID Storage Manager software on a system running Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows Server 2003, or Microsoft Windows XP:

1.Insert the MegaRAID Storage Manager software installation CD in the CD-ROM drive. If necessary, find and double-click the setup.exe file to start the installation program.

2.When the Welcome screen appears, click Next. If MegaRAID Storage Manager software is already installed on this system, the Program Maintenance screen ap- pears. Read the screen text and select Modify, Repair, or Remove.

3.When the next screen appears, read and accept the user license, and click Next. The Customer Information screen appears, as shown in Figure 5.1.
