HARDWARE INSTALLATION

System Requirements

The EZ Connect ADSL USB Modem requires the following PC features to operate:

A host PC that supports the Universal Serial Bus

32 MB of RAM and 10 MB of hard disk space

Windows 98, 98SE, 2000, XP, or Macintosh 9.x

Standard telephone cable with RJ-11 plugs

Note: To share Internet access on your network, you will need to install appropriate Internet-sharing software on one PC.

The ADSL network must meet the following minimum requirements:

ADSL service from your local telephone company or have access to an ADSL DSLAM (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer)

PC configured with fixed IP address or dynamic IP address assignment via DHCP, Gateway server address, and DNS server address from your telephone company or network administrator
