11.4.2 Physical characteristics

This section defines physical interface connector.

11.4.3 Connector requirements

The SAS connector on the drive complies with SFF-8482. Contact your preferred connector manufacturer for mating part information.

The SAS device connector is illustrated in Figures 13 and 14.

11.4.4 Electrical description

SAS drives use the device connector for:

DC power

SAS interface

Activity LED

This connector is designed to either plug directly into a backpanel or accept cables.
