General description

Barracuda 18LP FC disc drives are high-speed, random-access digital-data storage devices designed to be used within a Fibre Channel host system.

The drive is a component for installation in an enclosure designed for the drive. The disc drive must receive adequate cooling (refer to “Providing adequate cooling”) and it must be sufficiently grounded and shielded from emissions. The Barra- cuda 18LP FC Product Manual (part number 77767541) con- tains guidelines for a properly designed enclosure.
