Auto: When Fiber Negotiation has been turned off (SW 1), the Media Converter Module will use this Duplex setting for its Ethernet parameter negotiation on the copper connection. In the Auto position, the Media Converter will advertise support for both Full and Half Duplex mode. The resultant negotiation will provide the most optimum connection.

Half: The Media Converter Module will force the negotiation to Half Duplex mode.

Note: The Duplex parameter has no direct effect on the operation of the Media Converter. These are provided so that the attached device (near end) can negotiate its Ethernet parameters as if it was negotiating directly with the far end device. These parameters on the Media Converter Module should match those of the far end device.
