Hardware Installation

This chapter explains how to install the hardware for the ProSafe™ 24-Port L2 Managed Switch with Static Routing GSM7224 and the ProSafe™ 48-Port L2 Managed Switch with Static Routing GSM7248.

Package Contents

The switch is packed and shipped separately. The package contains the following items:

Managed Layer 2 Switch with preinstalled software

Power adapter cord

Rubber footpads for tabletop installation

Rubber caps for the SFP sockets

Rack-mounting kit

Null-modem serial cable (RS-232) with 9-pin connectors
