LEC-LES assignment

The method by which a LEC is assigned to a LES.

 

Possible methods are:

 

• By longest address match

 

• By group LES address

 

By round robin

 

 

LECS ATM Address

The ATM address advertised by the LECS.

 

 

LECS Discovery

Indicates the method used by the management LEC

 

to establish a direct configuration VCC to the LECS.

 

 

Length

The length of the ATM address, expressed as a

 

number of bits. The maximum length is 152 bits, as

 

ATM routing is done for only 19 byte addresses.

 

 

LES Activity Status

The activity status of the LES. Possible statuses are:

 

active - The LES has resilient or distributed

 

 

capability and is active.

 

standby - The LES has resilient capability and is

 

 

on standby.

 

 

LES Address

The 20 byte ATM address of the LES.

 

 

LES ATM Address

The ATM address of the LES that the management

 

LEC has joined.

 

 

LES ELAN Name

The name of the ELAN.

 

 

LES ELAN Type

The type of ELAN. Possible types are:

 

Ethernet

 

Token Ring

 

 

LES Name

The name of the LES. This must correspond to an

 

ELAN with the same name.
