Lorsque I’électrolyte est renversée, la surface affectée devrait être nettoyée en utilisant un agent neutralisant adéquat. Une pratique courante est d’utiliser un mélange d’approximativement une livre (500 grammes) de bicarbonate de soude dans approximativement un gallon (4 litres) d’eau. Le mélange de bicarbonate de soude devra être ajouté jusqu’à ce qu’il n’y ait plus apparence de réaction (mousse).
