2 Connecting the Cables and Getting Started

Thank you for purchasing the HG532s Home Gateway (hereinafter referred to as the HG532s).

You can go online using the ADSL and USB modem services. However, you can only use one type of service at one time. The default way of going online is using the ADSL service, though you can go online using the USB modem service when you cannot access the network using the ADSL services.

2.1Connecting Cables Using the ADSL Port

The following figure shows an example of how to connect the cables. In this example, the HG532s is connected to a desktop computer, a laptop computer, and a telephone.
