7.2Interfaces and Buttons

Interface or

Description

Power

It is used to connect the power adapter.

 

 

LAN1, LAN2

It is used to connect to the Ethernet interface on the computer.

 

 

ADSL

It is used to connect to the MODEM interface on the splitter.

 

 

ON/OFF

It is the power switch and is used to power on or power off the

 

HG523a.

RESET

You can press and hold the RESET button for over six seconds

 

to restore the default settings of the HG523a.

 

Note: After you restore the default settings, your customized

 

data is lost. Therefore, use this function with caution.

WLAN

You can press the WLAN button to enable the WLAN function.

 

 

WPS

You can press the WLAN button (less than two seconds) to

 

enable the WPS function.
