Whenever an error signal message appears, the signal frequency will be displayed in red.

Error messages will remain on the screen for 30 seconds, and then disappear. An error message may not appear at all if the signal frequency is extremely high or extremely low.

Points to check with possible solutions

Press the AUTO-SIZING button on the front panel. See page 18.

Adjust the image size and/or position using the icons in the ScreenManager “Screen” menu. See page 19.

The CRT is not warmed up. Allow 30 minutes for the monitor to stabilize.

Degauss the screen. (Use the degaussing feature in the ScreenManager’s “Others” menu. See page 33.)

This problem can be caused by the earth’s magne- tism. Adjust the uniformity in the ScreenManager’s “Screen” menu. See page 20.

Adjust the contrast and brightness using the ScreenManager’s “Screen” menu. See page 19.

Some signal timings can be the cause of this problem. To correct this, turn off the monitor, then hold down the AUTO-SIZING button and “down” arrow key while turning on the monitor again. This will change the signal timing and brighten the screen. If the above operation is repeated, the screen becomes dark again.
