Operation checklist

For proper PB 1400 Ethernet Card operation, verify the following:

For Classic Ethernet, EtherTalk Alternative is selected in the Network control panel. For Open Transport, Alternate Ethernet is selected in the AppleTalk control panel.

AppleTalk is active in the Chooser.

The PB 1400 Ethernet Card is securely seated in the expansion slot.

The Ethernet network connection is secure, and the Ethernet network follows standard guidelines. See “Network Guidelines“ later in this chapter for network guidelines.

The green link LED is lit.
