Using a Splitter with the 20-Port and 10-Port

Mid-Span Power Hubs

Some products require a BL-89705ENT or BL-89712ENT splitter (sold separately) that splits power and data into separate cables, and converts the ~48 VDC into 5.0 VDC or

12.0VDC for input power. To ensure compliance with class A requirements, use category 5, 5e, or 6 shielded twisted pair straight-through cables.

Figure 2-3shows a typical configuration for the Enterasys 20-port Mid-Span Power Hub operating with a splitter.
