Your SCP-80 might cause TV or radio interference even when it is operating properly. To determine whether your SCP-80 is causing the interference, turn it off. If the inter- ference goes away, your SCP-80 is causing it. Try to eliminate the interference by:

Reorienting or relocating the receiving antenna

Moving your SCP-80 away from the receiver

TAPE TIPS AND TECHNIQUES

Cleaning the Tape-Handling Parts

Dirt, dust, or particles of the tape’s coating can build up on the tape heads and other parts that the tape touches. This can greatly reduce the SCP-80’s performance. Use the following cleaning procedure after every 20 hours of operation. Your local RadioShack store carries a full line of cassette deck cleaning supplies.

1.Pull up the cassette compartment cover and open the cassette compartment door.
