7.Locate the power connector on the back of the tape drive. Connect the power cable to the power connector as shown in Figure 8.

CAUTION

The power cable plug and the power connector are keyed so they can fit together in only one way. Before connecting the plug to the tape drive, be sure that the beveled edges of the plug are oriented in the same way as the beveled edges on the power connector. Do not force the plug into the connector or you may damage the tape drive.

8.Replace the cover on your computer.
