Removing and Replacing the Battery

CAUTION: Using an incompatible battery may increase the risk of fire or explosion.

CAUTION: Do not dispose of the battery with household waste. For more information about recycling the battery, contact your local recycling center.

Using Your Inspiron Laptop

To remove the battery:

1.Slide the battery lock switch to the right into the unlocked position.

2.Slide the battery release latch to the left, and gently slide the battery out of the battery bay.

To replace the battery, slide the battery into the battery bay and slide the battery lock switch to the left into the locked position.
