Using Your Studio Laptop

Switchable Graphics

The switchable graphics feature allows you to switch to either the High-performance or Power- saving Graphic Processing Unit (GPU) available on your computer.

Using the Power-saving GPU ensures lesser power consumption and extends the battery life. You can switch to the High-performance GPU when running graphic-intensive applications that require more power, such as 3D games.

To switch between High-performance GPU and Power-saving GPU:

1.Right-click the desktop.

2.Click Configure Switchable Graphics.

The Switchable Graphics window appears.

3.In the Choose a Graphic Processing Unit: section, click either High-Performance GPU or PowerSaving GPU based on your preference.

4.Click Change to confirm.

5.Click OK to close the Switchable Graphics window.
