Follow the instructions provided on the screen by the Windows Easy Transfer wizard.

Easy Transfer Cable for Windows Vista

NOTE: Dell does not provide the Easy Transfer Cable.

1Insert the Easy Transfer Cable for Windows Vista Application Software media into the computer from which you are transferring data.

2Follow the on-screen instructions until you are prompted to connect the Transfer Cable.

3Connect the Easy Transfer Cable to the source computer. You are prompted to select a device option.

4Continue until you are prompted to plug the other end of the Easy Transfer Cable into the destination computer.

The screen indicates that a connection has been made.

5At the computer from which you are transferring data, follow the on-screen instructions to select the settings and files you want to transfer.

6You will come to a screen that indicates that you are ready to transfer files.

7From the destination computer, view the transfer and wait for the indication that the transfer is complete.

8Select Close.

You are prompted to restart the computer.

9Select Yes.

The computer reboots and the transfer is complete.
