Der Pistonphon-Adapter PA 100 erlaubt das Aufstecken eines Pistonphons für 1" - Meßmikrophone (z.B. Typ 4230 oder Typ 4228 der Firma Brüel & Kjaer) auf jeweils einen Ohrkanal-Stutzen des Kunstkopfes KU 100. Damit kann jedes Ohrsystem einzeln kalibriert werden, siehe dazu auch die Kapitel 6 und 8 der KU 100 - Betriebsanweisung.

Für die präzise Ankopplung des Adapters an den Ohrkanal ist es notwen- dig, den Pistonphon-Adapter auf den jeweiligen Stutzen des Ohrsystems bis zum Anschlag aufzustecken. Dazu muß der Kopf geöffnet werden, siehe Kapitel 2.3 der Betriebsanweisung. Dann läßt sich das komplette Ohrsystem herausheben, und die Außenohren können abgezogen werden, siehe Kapitel 7 der Betriebsanweisung.

Durch das Zwischenstecken des PA 100 zwischen Pistonphon und Ohr- system des Kunstkopfes ergibt sich eine Einfügedämpfung von 1,7 dB .

Beispiel: Das B & K-Pistonphon 4230 wird mit Hilfe des 1/2" - Reduzier- stücks (Beipack zum 4230) und des Adapters PA 100 auf einen Ohrkanal-Stutzen gesteckt. Das Reduzierstück von B & K ver- mindert den Schalldruck des Pistonphons von 1 Pa auf 0,98 Pa. Das entspricht dem Korrekturfaktor 1,02. Dieser Schalldruck wird durch den Adapter PA 100 bis zum Ohrkanal um 1,7 dB gedämpft. Das entspricht dem Korrekturfaktor 1,22.

Der Ablesewert am Kunstkopf-Ausgang sei 17,5 mV. Dann ist der wahre Feldübertragungsfaktor für dieses Ohrsystem 1,02 • 1,22 • 17,5 mV/Pa = 21,8 mV/Pa.
