4. Set the oven selector and the oven temperature	TURN
control knob to BROIL.

5. After broiling, turn off the oven.	TURN
Turn both the oven selector and the oven tem-
perature control knob to OFF. The oven on		OF	F
indicator light will go off.

If you want to broil at a lower temperature:

•If your food is cooking too fast, turn the oven	TURN
temperature control knob counterclockwise until

•If you want your food to broil slower from the start, set the oven temperature control knob between 170°F and 325°F. These temperature settings let the broil heating element cycle and slow cooking. The lower the temperature, the slower the cooking.

NOTE: Fish and chicken are some foods that may cook better if you use lower broiling temperatures.
