•Any Macintosh with built-in FireWire port or a Power Macintosh G3 with a powered PCI 6-pin FireWire adapter

•Mac OS 8.6 to 9.x, Mac OS X 10.1 or higher

SmartDisk Tools™

SmartDisk Tools is a utility program for Macintosh computers used to prepare all SmartDisk FireWire hard disks and storage devices. The utilities in SmartDisk Tools are used to:

•Format and partition FireWire devices such as FireFly. You can format them for DOS or Macintosh.

•Test your FireWire device.

•Add an extension (also called a driver) which allows your computer to detect and use FireWire devices.
