Uset the IEEE 802.3 10BASE-T standard for RJ-45 pinouts as described below. 10BASE-T uses 2 of the 4 pairs of wire: pins 1 and 2 and pins 3 and

6.If the pairs are not configured this way, the connection will not work properly. Level 3 or higher cable should have the following pin pairings:

❑pins 4 and 5 are pair 1

❑pins 3 and 6 are pair 2

❑pins 1 and 2 are pair 3

❑pins 7 and 8 are pair 4

Refer to Figure A-1 for an example of the recommended TIA-568A wiring standard for an RJ-45 connector.
