Getting Set Up

If you ordered an optional Automatic Duplex/Lower Tray Assembly

W A R N I N G

The printer weighs about 43 kg. (94 lbs.) and the Lower Tray Assembly weighs about 14 kg (31 lbs.). Observe standard precautions for lifting heavy objects.

The printer is not permanently attached to the Automatic Duplex/Lower Tray Assembly. When you move the printer, move the pieces separately; moving the printer incorrectly may damage it and may cause personal injury.

1.Place the Lower Tray Assembly on a solid, level table or cart.

2.Place the printer on top of the Lower Tray Assembly:

Align the paper tray slot on the printer (a) with the paper tray slots on the Lower Tray Assembly (b).

3.Fit the front and back alignment pins into the holes in the base of the printer.
