Uma linha telefônica externa é conectada ao conector de modem.

Um monitor externo é conectado ao conector de monitor.

Um dispositivo paralelo, como uma impressora, é conectado ao conector paralelo.

Um mouse externo compatível com Personal System/2 (PS/2) é conectado ao conector de mouse PS/2.

Um teclado externo compatível com PS/2 ou um teclado numérico externo é conectado ao conector de teclado PS/2.

Uma unidade externa de CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, CD-RW, Zip 250 ou disquete é conectada ao conector de compartimento externo de mídia.

Siga estas instruções para conectar qualquer dispositivo externo ao APR.

AVISO: A NIC e os dois conectores PS/2 na parte de trás do APR são invertidos (vistos pela parte de trás do APR). Antes de conectar qualquer cabo, verifique se os pinos do conector estão alinhados corretamente para evitar danos aos conectores.

1.Consulte a Figura 3-1 para conectar dispositivos externos aos conectores apropriados na parte de trás do APR.

NOTAS: Se o conector de cabo do dispositivo externo tiver dois parafusos de aperto manual, aperte-os bem para obter qualidade de conexão.

Para conectar o computador a um dispositivo de interface para computador de pequeno porte (SCSI, small computer system interface), é necessário conectar um placa de PC SCSI ao computador. Consulte “Placas de PC” no Guia do Usuário do Dell Latitude L400 on-line para obter informações sobre utilização das Placas de PC.
