Pass Thru (reserved)

o This is only for AIX systems without support for the rembak system utility:

If the bullet is selected, the user can type in a name on the text field. It will be used as the pass thru name.

If the bullet is not selected, the setup installation program will generate

(detect) a pass thru name. NOTE:

The pass-thru queues are required for sending filtered jobs from the print queue to the Fiery ports (print, direct, or hold).

This is only included as a fallback solution in AIX systems, which currently does not provide easy access to Fiery ports. If the current solution of using the rembak utility fails, pass-thru queues will be created.
