1 Hard drive activity light — Turns on when the computer reads or writes data. A blinking white light indicates hard drive activity.

CAUTION: To avoid loss of data, never turn off the computer while the hard drive activity light is blinking.

2Optical drive eject buttons (2) — Press the marked portion on the lower end of the button to eject the disc tray.

3 USB 2.0 connectors (2) — Connects to USB devices that are connected occasionally such as memory keys, digital cameras, and MP3 players.

4FlexBay cover — Covers the FlexBay slot.

5FlexBay slot — Can support a Media Card Reader or an additional hard drive.

6Optional Optical drive bay — Can support an additional optical drive.

7Optical drive — Plays or records only standard-size (12 cm) CDs, DVDs, and Bluray Discs (optional).

8Media Card Reader — Provides a fast and convenient way to view and share digital photos, music, and videos stored on a media card.

9Media Card Reader light — Indicates if a media card is inserted.
