The D-Link Air Premier DWL-1800Series, DWL-1800B (BU) and DWL-1800R(RB), can be used as high-speed connections between two or more remote networks.

1.2.2.1 DWL-1800B (BU) Wireless Base Unit

The DWL-1800B is an IEEE 802.11b compliant base station that connects one or more remote sites to a central server or Internet connection. In a point-to-multi-point configuration the DWL-1800B is the central unit while in point-to-point configurations it should be installed at one end of the link.

The DWL-1800B is the basic unit, equipped with an antenna integrated into the front cover of the outdoor unit.
