Running a New

This sections describes how to run software that you have uploaded to

the switch. To put the software image into your switch, see “Loading

 

Software into the Switch” on page 27.

 

To run new software, you must set the image to become active after the

 

switch is reset. The Active Image tab identifies which image is currently

 

active and which image will be used after the next reset.

 

To select new software to run:

1Select Administration -> Software Update, then click the Active Image tab.

The Active Image field displays the name of the software image currently in use (either Image 1 or Image 2).

2Set the Active Image After Reset field to the other software image. For example, if Active Image displays Image 1, set Active Image After Reset to Image 2.

3Reset the switch by selecting Administration -> Reset.
