PREPARATION

CONNECTING POWER

Using Batteries

You can power your recorder with two AA bat- teries (not supplied). For the best perfor- mance and longest life, we recommend RadioShack alkaline batteries.

Warning: Dispose of old batteries promptly; do not bury or burn them.

Cautions:

Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.

Never leave dead or weak batteries in the Micro-40. Batteries can leak chemicals that can destroy electronic circuits.

Do not mix old and new batteries, differ- ent types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batter- ies of different capacities.
