3.15 Real Timer Test

3.15 Real Timer Test

To execute the Real Timer Test, select 9 from the DIAGNOSTIC TEST MENU, press Enter and follow the directions on the screen. Move the highlight bar to the subtest you want to execute and press Enter.

Subtest 01

Real time

 

A new date and time can be input during this subtest. To execute the real time

 

subtest, follow these steps:

 

1.

Select subtest 01 and the following messages will appear:

Current time : XX:XX:XX

 

 

Enter new date:

 

 

PRESS [ENTER] KEY TO EXIT TEST

 

2.

If the current date is not correct, input the correct date at the “Enter new

 

 

date” prompt and press Enter.

The following messages will appear:

Current time : XX:XX:XX

 

 

Enter new time:

 

 

PRESS [ENTER] KEY TO EXIT TEST

 

4.

If the current time is not correct, input the correct time in 24-hour format.

 

 

To enter ":", press Shift + ;. The time is updated.

To exit the test, press Enter.

Subtest 02 Backup memory

This subtest checks the following backup memories:

Writes 1-bit of “on” data (01h through 80h) to address 0Eh through 7Fh

Writes 1-bit of “off” data (FEh through 7Fh) to address 0Eh through 7Fh

Writes the data pattern AAh and 55h to the address 0Eh to 7Fh

Then the subtest reads and compares this data with the original data.
