Identifying System Status Lights

The system lights on the keyboard provide a quick status of your computer and keyboard settings.

System Status Lights

Num Lock

When lit, the Num lock is on and indicates that you can

 

 

use the numeric key pad to type numbers.

Caps Lock

When lit, the Caps lock is on and indicates all text typed

 

 

will appear as capital letters.

Scroll Lock

When lit, the Scroll lock is on and indicates when the

 

 

scroll-lock function is engaged, enabling you to scroll

 

 

through a document without moving the cursor.
