Using Memory Stick® Media
This new compact, portable, and versatile IC recording medium has a data capacity exceeding that of a floppy disk. The media is specially designed for exchanging and sharing digital data with compatible products. Because it is removable, the media can be used for external data storage.

The media slot can accommodate one media at a time.
To copy images from a digital video camera via Memory Stick media, see “Connecting an i.LINK device” on page 54.
To copy images from a digital still camera via the Memory Stick media, see “To connect a digital still camera” in the onlline manual “Customizing Your VAIO® Z505 SuperSlim Pro™ Notebook.”
To insert a Memory Stick media
Insert the media into the slot until the media is fixed into the connector.
Insert with the arrow facing forward.

When the media is connected properly, you can see the contents of the media by clicking the Removable Disk (S:) icon.
✍Do not insert the media in the wrong direction as this may damage the connector pins in the slot or the media itself.
!Warning: When copying data from one Memory Stick media to another Memory Stick media when the media are of different memory capacity, use the drag and drop method to copy data. Do not use the Copy Disk function of Windows. The Copy Disk function will result in the loss of the installed memory.
