Replacing the Internal Backup Battery

The backup battery will last about three years. When the battery is low on power, replace it with a Sony lithium battery CR2025 or compatible.

To replace the backup battery

Turn off the computer and connected devices, then unplug all the cables.

Unscrew the battery cover to open it.

3Remove the battery.

4Insert a new battery and close the cover. Follow the procedure below to set the clock.

To set date and time

After replacing the backup battery, be sure to set the time as follows:

1Turn on the computer.

The message “Press <F1> to resume, <F2> to Setup” appears at the bottom of the display.

2Press F2.

The BIOS Setup menu starts.
