3-2. Opening the transport lock

1. Open the door by inserting the key and turning it counterclockwise (90°) to unlock the door.

2. Open the transport lock of the mail slot.

Using a philps screwdriver, continue to turn the lock counterclockwise until the lock is completely disen- gaged and moves outwards.

3. Open the transport lock of the carrier.

• Continue to turn the screw counterclockwise to loosen it until the metal device retaining it is disengaged and moves outwards.

Note:

When using the MC-CF10UOptional Carrier, read "3-4.

Removing the optional carrier transport lock screw"

on page E13 before continuing on.

Proceed to the operation in the next page without clos- ing the door.

In the case of re-transporting, lock the transport lock as follows:

1)Remove all the discs and turn off the power.

2)Turn on the power while pressing the “1” of the 10-key pad and enter the PACKING mode.

3)Turn off the power as soon as the “END” display appears on the LCD screen.

4)Fix the transport lock as described in 2 and 3 above.

5)When using the MC-CF10U Optional Carrier, read "3-4. Removing the optional carrier transport lock screw" on page E13 before continuing on.

6)Re-attach the protective transport materials. (a See page E12.)
