[LOCK] Menu (Parental Control)

Use the v / V / b / B buttons to select [LOCK] set- tings in the [Setup] menu.

The [LOCK] settings affect only BD and DVD play- back. Set the password and have to input it to vali- date the [LOCK] settings.

Password

You can create, change or delete the password.

1.Select [Password] option on the [LOCK] menu then press B.

2.Use number buttons on the remote control to input the 4-digit password.

To create new password, press ENTER when the [New] option is highlighted. Input new password and press ENTER. Enter it again and press ENTER to verify.

To change the password, press ENTER when the [Change] option is highlighted, then input old password and press ENTER. Input new password and press ENTER. Enter it again and press ENTER to verify.

To delete the password, select [Delete] option then press ENTER, then input password and press ENTER. The password is deleted.

Tip:

If you make a mistake before pressing ENTER, press CLEAR or b to delete a number one by one.

If you forget your password

If you forget your password, you can clear it using the following steps:

1.Remove any disc that might be in the player.

2.Select [LOCK] t [Password] option in the [Setup] menu.

3.Use Number buttons to enter the 6-digit number “210499”.

The password is cleared.

DVD Rating DVD

Blocks playback of rated disc based on their con- tent. (Not all discs are rated.)

1.Select [DVD Rating] on the [LOCK] menu then press B.

2.To access this option, you must input the pass- word you have created. If you have not yet entered password, you will be prompted to do so. Input a password and press ENTER. Enter it again and press ENTER to verify. If you make a mistake before pressing ENTER, press CLEAR or b to delete a number one by one.

3.Select a rating from 1 to 8 using the v / V but- tons.

[Rating 1-8]Rating one (1) has the most restrictions and rating eight (8) is the least restrictive.

[Unlock] – If you select unlock, parental control is not active and the disc plays in full.

4. Press ENTER to confirm your rating selection.

BD Rating BD

Set an age limit for BD-ROM viewing.

1.Select [BD Rating] on the [LOCK] menu then press B.

2.Follow step 2 as shown above (DVD Rating).

3.Use number buttons to input an age limit for BD-ROM viewing.

[255 Year(s)] – All BD-ROM can be played.

[0-254 Year(s)] – Prohibits play of BD-ROM with corresponding ratings recorded on them.

4.Press ENTER to confirm your selection.

Area Code

Enter the code of the area whose standards were used to rate the DVD video disc, based on the list on page 29.

1.Select [Area Code] on the [LOCK] menu then press B.

2.Follow step 2 as shown above (DVD Rating).

3.Select an area code using v / V buttons then press ENTER to confirm your selection.
