General playback features

1.Load your chosen disc in the tray, with the playback side down.

2.Start playback using the HOME menu (see page 10).

Buttons	Operations		Discs
OPEN / CLOSE (Z)	Opens or closes the disc tray.		ALL

N (PLAY)	Starts the playback.		ALL

ENTER	Acknowledges the selection on the menu screen (Disc		BD	DVD
	menu, Title menu, POP-UP menu, etc.).

x (STOP)	Stops the playback.		ALL

	The unit records the stopped point, depending on the		BD	DVD	ACD
	disc. “Xx” appears on the screen briefly. Press		MP3	WMA	AVCHD
	N (PLAY) to resume playback (from the scene point).
	If you press x (STOP) on the remote control again or
	unload the disc (“x” appears on the screen.), the unit
	will clear the stopped point. (Xx = Resume Stop, x =
	Complete Stop)
	Notes:
	•	The resume point may be cleared when a button is
		pressed (for example; STANDBY/ON, OPEN/CLOSE,
		etc).
	•	On BD-Video discs including BD-J, the resume play
		function does not work.
	•	On BD-Video, DVD and AVCHD discs, if you press
		x (STOP) on the front panel in Resume Stop mode
		and [Movie] is highlighted on the [Home] menu, the
		unit will resume playback (from the scene point).
	•	On BD-ROM interactive title, the unit will be in
		Complete Stop mode if you press x (STOP) once dur-
		ing playback.

X (PAUSE)	During playback, press X (PAUSE) to pause playback.	ALL
	Tip: During Audio CD or MP3/WMA playback, press

X(PAUSE) once again to resume playback.

	Press X (PAUSE) repeatedly to play Frame-by-Frame.	DVD	BD	AVCHD

. / > (SKIP)	During playback, press . or > to go to the next	ALL
	chapter/track/file or to return to the beginning of the cur-
	rent chapter/track/file.
	Press . twice briefly to step back to the previous
	chapter/track/file.

m / M (SCAN)	During playback, press SCAN (m or M) repeatedly	ALL
	to select the required scan speed.
	- DVD, BD, AVCHD: 5 steps,
	- Audio CD, MP3, WMA: 3 steps

	While the playback is paused, press SCAN M repeat-	DVD	BD	AVCHD
	edly to play in slow motion (4 steps, forward only).
