NOTIFICATION

This device has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protec- tion against harmful interference in a residential installation. This device generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful inter- ference to radio communications.

However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particu- lar installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

Increase the separation between the device and receiver.

Connect the device into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.

Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Pursuant to FCC regulations, be cautioned that any changes or modifications not expressly approved in this manual could void your authority to operate this equipment.

Installation

The TV should be installed near an easily accessible power outlet.

To prevent internal heat buildup, do not block the ventilation openings.

Do not install the TV in a hot or humid place, or in a place subject to excessive dust or mechanical vibration.

Avoid operating the TV at temperatures below 41ºF (5ºC).

When the TV is transported directly from a cold to a warm location, or if the room temperature changes sud- denly, the picture may be blurred or show poor color due to moisture condensation. In this case, please wait a few hours before turning on the TV, in order to let the moisture evaporate first.

To ensure best picture quality, do not expose the screen to direct illumina- tion or sunlight. We recommend you use spot lighting directed down from the ceiling or to cover the windows that face the screen with opaque cur- tains. It is better that TV is installed where the floor and walls are not of a reflective material.

To Customers

To install the specified TV, sufficient expertise is required. Make sure you subcontract the installation to ViewS- onic dealer or licensed contractors and pay adequate attention to safety during the installation.
