Insert a disc here.

Forward SKIP/SCAN (R/T) DVD: Go to NEXT chapter/track. Press and hold for two seconds for a fast forward search.

VCR: Advances the tape during the STOP mode or for fast forward picture search.

PLAY (N)

To play back a recorded tape or disc.

Reverse SKIP/SCAN (S/Q)

DVD: Go to beginning of current chapter/track or to previous chapter/track.

Press and hold for a fast reverse search.

VCR: Rewinds the tape during the STOP mode or for fast reverse picture search.

Ejects the tape in the VCR deck.

PAUSE/STEP(X/C) Pause playback of a tape or a disc in the DVD or VCR deck temporarily/press repeat- edly for frame-by-frame playback.

STOP (x)

Stops playback of a disc or tape.

REC/ITR (z)

To record normally or to activate Instant Timer Recording.

DVD/VCR (output select)

Select either the DVD or VCR source to view on your TV screen.
