Acquiring a Signal

Complete the following steps to help you acquire a signal:

Using the number keys on the remote control, tune to the authorization channel (refer to the information supplied with your system). You should see a banner with the channel number at the top of the screen.

Press the OPTIONS key on the remote control. The Options menu will appear.

From the Options menu, select option 6 (Change System Settings), and the System Settings menu will appear.

Select option 3 (Change Installation Settings), and on the Installation Settings menu select option 1 (Tune in Satellite Signal).

Look at the value in the box labelled Signal. If it is less than 10, make sure that all connections between the satellite dish LNBF and the satellite receiver are correct. If the signal

strength remains below 10, contact your service provider for assistance.

Using the number keys on the remote control, enter the Provider ID supplied by your service provider (refer to the information supplied with your system). You can use the3key on the remote control to back up and make corrections.

If the satellite dish is pointed at the correct satellite, the large field in the center of the screen will turn green and display the message "Correct signal found". If you do not see this message within 5 to 10 minutes, the satellite dish may be pointed at the incorrect satellite. Contact your service provider for assistance.
