!1SEARCH button

Press to perform a title/group, chapter/track, elapsed time search or time & frame search (page 51).

!2PLAY 3 button

Press to start disc playback (pages 25, 27).

!3PREVIOUS 4 button

During playback, press PREVIOUS 4 to go back to a previous chapter/track (page 27).

!4REV 1 (fast reverse) button

During playback of DVD and Video CD. Press REV 1 to perform fast reverse scanning. When a CD is loaded, audio scanning is performed (page 27).

During pause of DVD and Video CD, press REV 1 for longer than one second to perform slow playback in the reverse direction (page 50).

!5STOP 7 button

Press to stop playback. Pressing once enables playback to resume from a point shortly before the location where it was stopped. Pressing twice causes the disc to return to the beginning of the disc when playback starts again

(page 28).

!6CLEAR button

Works in conjunction with a number of player functions. Use to cancel repeat and random playback, and to edit programs.

!7POWER button

Press to switch the player on or to put in standby (pages 25, 28).

!8VIDEO ADJ. (UST) button

Various attributes of the video presentation can be adjusted to suit the program type or personal preferences. Press VIDEO ADJ. (UST) to display the on- screen options (page 48).

!9REPEAT button

Press once to repeat playback of current chapter/track. Press twice to repeat playback of current title/group

(page 52).

@0PROGRAM button

You can program titles, groups, chapters, or tracks to play back in a desired order. Programs can be a maximum of 24 steps. Additionally, DVD-Video programs for up to 24 discs can be stored in the player’s memory for future use (pages 54-56).

@1AUDIO button

Press repeatedly to select one of the audio languages and/or audio formats programmed on a DVD (pages 40, 41).

For Video CD and CD, each press changes the audio output as follows.

=Stereo =1/L (Left) =2/R (Right)

@2MENU button*

Use to display or close the DVD-Video menu screen (page 26).

@3SETUP button*

Press when the player is in either play or stop mode to open and close the Setup screen (pages 20, 29). Press when player is in stop mode to set the FL menu setting (pages 23).

@4NEXT ¢ button

During playback, press NEXT ¢ to go advance to the next chapter/track (pages 27).

@5PAUSE 8 button

Press to pause playback of a disc. Press again to resume playback (page 50).

@6FWD Á (fast forward) button

During playback of DVD and Video CD, press FWD Á to perform fast forward scaning when a CD is loaded, audio scanning is performed (pages 27).

During pause of DVD and Video CD, press FWD Á for longer than one second to perform slow play back (page 50).

@7LAST MEMO(RY), CONDITION MEMO(RY) button

You can resume DVD-Video or Video CD playback from the point you last watched even if the disc is removed from the player. Press LAST MEMO(RY) rapidly during playback to set a Last Memory point. When you want to resume playback of that disc, press LAST MEMO(RY) rapidly in the stop mode and playback starts from the memorized point. Last Memory locations can be stored for up to 5 DVDs and 1 Video CD (page 57).

And also you can store in memory the settings for up to 15 DVD-videos.

Press CONDITION MEMO(RY) for longer than 1 sec during DVD-Video playback to memorize the settings (page 59).
