1 SETTING UP THE MIMESIS 20.7 (Ctd)

1.3. POWER SUPPLY

The voltage selector on the rear panel allows to choose between 230V and 115V, and two additional switches inside the M20.7 allow to choose between 100V and 115V when the voltage selector on the rear panel is on 115V and between 200V and 230V when the voltage selector on the rear panel is on 230V.

The power supply unit can operate indifferently with both 50 and 60 Hz AC line.

2 FIRST INSTALLATION AND CONNECTIONS

2.1. POWER CONNECTION

Plug the AC power cord to the power supply and in a wall socket.

The converter is powered by pressing the power switch located on the front panel. For best sonic results, Goldmund recommends to leave the converter powered on permanently.

When turned ON, the unit accomplishes a self test run by its internal software. A software routine successively tests the circuits inside the machine.

2.2. SOURCES CONNECTION

Connect the CD/DVD transport or any other digital sources like a Goldmund Digital Preamplifier or tape machines to the back panel digital inputs and outputs of the Goldmund Mimesis 20.7, using either a coaxial link and the RCA or the AES/EBU XLR connectors.
